Grace Jones was born as Grace Mendoza on May 19th, 1948 in Spanish town of Jamaica Grace is a famous Jamaican–American actress, singer, lyricist, dancer and supermodel.

Grace Jones was born to mother Marjorie and father Robert W. Jones, who was a clergyman and a politician. Grace has a brother named Christian who is now known as Bishop Noel Jones. She relocated to Syracuse, New York along with her family in 1965. Grace Jones has studied theatre at Syracuse University.

Grace Jones began her movie career with the role of a drug courier Mary in a 1973 film "Gordon's War". Grace got a breakthrough in her film career with the role of Zula in a 1984 film "Conan the Destroyer" starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The movie became a big hit and Grace Jones landed the role of a Bond girl in a James Bond 007 film "A View to Kill" {1985} starring Roger Moore as James Bond. Jones played the role of May Day, the chief aide and lover to villain Max Zorin in this Bond flick. Her Bond movie became a big hit. She then followed it up with a role in a vampire film, "Vamp" {1986}. Her performance in these three movies won her Saturn Award Best Supporting Actress nominations for three consecutive years in 1985, 1986 and 1987 respectively. Grace Jones has also acted in movies like "Straight to Hell" {1987}, Eddie Murphy starrer "Boomerang" {1992}, "Palmer's Pick Up" {1999}, and direct-to-video films "Wolf Girl" and "Shaka Zulu: The Citadel" {both 2001}, and German language movie "Falco - Verdammt, wir leben noch!" {2008}. Grace Jones has also spent several years in Paris as a model, where she modeled for celebrity fashion designers and endorsed famous products.
